Interlinear for the Rest of Us

Has anyone used interlinear for the Rest of Us? How useful is it for students to purchase? Is it only suited for those who do not plan to actually master the language? If anyone has used it for a "biblical tools" class, did you make assignments in it, or just how did you use it?
