Update on FlashWorks and ParseWorks (I need your help)

I did a lot of work on the web versions of FlashWorks and ParseWorks, and they are up and running. Just go to the chapter in the online course and access them from there. Please, if you notice that something is not right, contact me through my support page.

On another note, I have finished the upgrade on the desktop version of FlashWorks. Updates include:

  • A new installer for ARM Macs. These are computers with Apple’s new M1 chip, and this version will not run on older Macs.
  • A new installer for Intel Macs (“universal”).
  • A new installer for Windows
  • Requires a minimum operating system of 10.10.5 (Yosemite) and Windows 8.1.
  • On the Mac, you will no longer see a message about an unidentified developer when installing.
  • The window is larger and can be resized.
  • Font sizes can be set in [Saved preferences] and will dynamically change with the size of the window.
  • Definitions have been updated to match those in the fourth edition of Basics of Biblical Greek.
  • The database has been renamed to “FlashWorks” (from FlashWorksGreek”), and the folder “audio-greek” is now “audio.”

However, I NEED HELP WITH THE INSTALLER. I have wasted hours trying to figure out how to codesign both the Mac and the Windows installers. On the Mac, I am using ClickInstall or AppWrapper. On Windows, I am using Inno Setup. But it is not the installer but the codesigning that is driving me nuts. Is there anyone out there who can walk me through the process of getting the certificates? With the new security features in Mac OS 12 and Windows 11, the app simply will not install without being codesigned.

If you can help, please contact me at https://www.billmounce.com/contact. Thank you.
