Free Greek Font: TekniaGreek

We are fortunate that there is now a unicode standard for all languages. This means you can type English and Greek in any font (assuming it is a fully compliant unicode font), change fonts, and the Greek is still correct. Here are our instructions.

Non-Unicode Greek Font: TekniaGreek

We are pleased to give away our Greek font, TekniaGreek. It follows our standard mapping initiative.

• It is identical on the Macintosh and Windows computers as well as on the web.
• It is absolutely free without any restrictions, both its design and its mapping -- we would encourage you to adopt it in your writing, programming, and web sites.

1. Download the latest version of the font

Download the Macintosh TrueType font.

Download a program that will install TekniaGreek into Windows and leave a second copy in your Teknia directory.

2. Download the keyboard layout

Download the PDF file that shows you the keyboard layout where all the Greek characters are located. This pdf shows only the keystrokes that are the same in Macintosh, Windows, and the web.

(You can access these specialty fonts in Word on Windows using the Insert menu, but we cannot answer your support questions on how to do this. Sorry.)
