Bill Mounce

Bill and Robin MounceBill lives as a writer in Washougal, Washington. He is the President of, a non-profit organization offering world-class educational resources for discipleship in the local church. His personal site,, is committed to helping people have an informed love of God, and also to learn biblical Greek.

Bill serves on the Committee for Bible Translation, which is responsible for the NIV translation of the Bible. Previously, for ten years he was the New Testament chair of the ESV .

Bill was also a preaching pastor, a professor of New Testament and director of the Greek Language Program at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and a professor at Azusa Pacific University.

Bill is the author of the bestselling Greek textbook, Basics of Biblical Greek, and many other resources. Robin and he have been married since 1983 and have three adult children.
